1 Year Today Gone, But The David Bowie Music Lives and Breathes Forever
Millions of us globally were absolutely gutted on that 10th of January 2016 when hearing that our musical genius hero Mr. David Bowie had passed away due to an 18 month battle with cancer. We never physically knew him, but through his creative coolness, radiating bizarre cleverness and all those music efforts behind it that had an atmospheric and cosmic pop charm like no other before him and no one since well, he became our rock n’ roll music man and we went on every ‘roaring and soaring’ voyage with him. As cliche as it sounds Bowie certainly did do it ‘his way’. He took creative dimensions in fearlessly pushing and stretching the limitations for cutting-edge music, fashion and sexuality, Bowie made it very real to not only feel, but to be different.
From his debut 1967 self-titled album release to “Space Oddity”, “The Man Who Sold The World”, “Hunky Dory”, “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars”, “Alladin Sane”, “Diamond Dogs”, “Young Americans”, “Station to Station”, “Low”, “Heroes”, “Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps)”, “Let’s Dance”, “Tonight”, “Never Let Me Down”, “Tin Machine”, “Black Tie White Noise”, “Reality”, to his last amazing album effort released before his passing, the 25th studio album entitled “Black Star”, put out on his 69th Birthday, there was always a sense that we were going to be alright through his music and his artistic perception on how he read the world to be. It made total sense to us where most of the time it just seemed to be utter madness and non-sense around the world, but BOWIE set it all right with actuality and logic for it. This creative genius of music, fashion, his own painting masterpieces and dashing acting roles, gave us a source of top imagination and a great sense of hip groove through humanity. “One of his signature hallmarks made as an institution by him was how he taught generations to simply be themselves, whoever and whatever you were and remain proud no matter what”.
I hope somewhere above the stars he truly can feel all the massive groups of music supporters who are so grateful to BOWIE for putting them on the road to music righteousness. The creative music minds everywhere thank you, truly. We will ‘undoubtedly’ listen to your rocking music in our ear rock modules on the 1 Year Today anniversary of your sad earth exiting and on that note, “Always” we will feel and take your music creations with us through our own daily rocking paths ahead forever!
