Birmingham Band Editors

Editors are a British diverse rock band that radiate grooving dark music genre glows of alternative rock, darkwave, indie rock and post-punk revival. They founded out of Birmingham, England in 2002. The band’s members currently consist of Tom Smith (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Russell Leetch (bass guitar, synthesizer, backing vocals), Ed Lay (drums, percussion, backing vocals), Justin Lockey (lead guitar), and Elliott Williams (keys, synthesizers, guitars, and backing vocals).

They have so far gone on to release 2 platinum studio albums, and five in all, with considerable million combined sales. Their debut album “The Back Room” released in 2005 and enclosed with the big hits “Blood” and “Munich”.

Their sophomore/follow-up album “An End Has a Start” wound up at #1 in the UK Album Charts in June 2007. It gained the band a Brit Awards Nomination for ‘best British band’. It also championed them with another Top 10 single stunner, “Smokers Outside the Hospital Doors”.

Then, came the band’s 3rd album, “In This Light and on This Evening”, was released in October of 2009. It went on ‘straightaway’ to #1 in the UK Album Charts. Editors unveiled their 4th studio album, “The Weight of Your Love” at July 2013 and then was followed by their self-produced “In Dream” in October 2015.

With their mighty success in the UK charts and high critical acclaim praises, Birmingham Band Editors have routinely appreciated sold-out tours and plentiful of headlining festival slots. Their truly infectious brand of dark indie rock is frequently related to the sound of bands such as Echo & the Bunnymen, Joy Division, Interpol, and The Chameleons.
